MTS launches Mblaze Ultra with 9.8Mbps download speed; rolls out 3GPLUS network in 9 circles

MTS has begun rolling out 3GPLUS network across its nine circles, offering download speed of up to 9.8Mbps with new Mblaze Ultra data dongles. Existing postpaid Mblaze customers could avail Mblaze Ultra through company’s exchange offer.

MTS 3GPLUS network is based on CDMA EVDO Rev. B Phase II network technology. The network is said to provide users with data speed of up to 9.8Mbps. It is being rolling out in MTS’ nine circles namely Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh (West) and West Bengal.

Mblaze Ultra data dongles will be available at a start price of Rs. 1299 for both prepaid and postpaid customers. The company has introduced an exchange offer in which existing postpaid Mblaze customers can avail Mblaze Ultra dongle in replacement and paying over Rs. 750.

With effect on Oct. 3, SSTL (owner of MTS brand) was granted with Unified License by the government to run telecom operations in the country, with a validity for 20 years.
